ATLANTA Arby's Restaurant Group Inc. has signed development agreements to open 63 franchised units nationwide. The franchisor of the Arby's sandwich chain inked the deals with six new and 27 existing franchisees. The markets in which the restaurants will be opened are Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.
"We're pleased with these initial results of signing 63 new development commitments," said Tom Garrett, president and chief operating officer, Arby's Restaurant Group, Inc. "We are focused on our goal of 5,000 domestic Arby's restaurants."
Arby's, based here, consists of 3,600 restaurants worldwide. Arby's Restaurant Group also operates the T.J. Cinnamons brand and is a subsidiary of Triarc Cos. Inc.
