GLENDALE Calif. IHOP Corp. said it has hired Michael J. Archer away from T.G.I. Fridayā€™s U.S.A. to assume the vacant presidentā€™s post at Applebeeā€™s International, effective May 27. Fridayā€™s has yet to name a replacement for Archer, who served the Applebeeā€™s archrival as president and chief operating officer.
