Boston Market debuts Italian LTOs

GOLDEN Colo. Boston Market said it is continuing its effort to rework its menu with more "chef-inspired" dishes with the introduction this spring of four promotional Italian items.

The new limited-time options are Tuscan Herb Rotisserie Chicken, Four-Cheese Cavatappi, Garlic Spinach and Classic Minestrone Soup.

The rotisserie chicken is flavored with Tuscan-inspired herbs and spices, according to the chain, a holding of Sun Capital Partners Inc. The double-marinated chicken is available as individual meals with two sides and cornbread for $6.49, or as a family meal featuring three large sides, three pieces of cornbread, and a choice of either family-sized cherry cobbler, family-sized soup, or family-sized Caesar salad for $23.99.

The Four-Cheese Cavatappi is corkscrew-shaped pasta served with a cream sauce of Swiss, Gruyere, Asiago and Romano cheeses with a touch of Dijon.

The Garlic Spinach mixes steamed spinach with shaved Parmesan and garlic.

The Classic Minestrone features diced tomatoes, Spanish onions, cabbage, spinach, and kidney and garbanzo beans in a traditional Italian-herb broth.

Boston Market said in January that it planned to consistently add new items to its core menu throughout 2008. The chain, based here, includes more than 600 units in 28 states.
