Bruegger's to introduce new hot and cold sandwiches

Bruegger’s Bagels, a chain of just under 300 units based here, plans to roll out hot and cold sandwiches on house-baked white and honey wheat bread at the end January. Chief executive James Greco said the sandwiches are currently being tested in Minnesota and South Carolina.

Among the new items, developed by executive chef Philip Smith, are a turkey Toscana panini, a four cheese & tomato panini and a cranberry tarragon chicken salad sandwich.

The company said this is the first time it is offering hot grilled sandwiches.
