Camille's parent slates intro of hotdog, smoothie concepts

TULSA Okla. Beautiful Brands International, franchisor of the Camille's Sidewalk Cafe concept, plans to open two new brands here in June and July.

David Rutkauskas, president and chief executive of BBI, said his company's retro, beach-inspired hot dog concept, Coney Beach, will debut here in June and a new yogurt-smoothie unit, FreshBerry, will open next door in July.

FreshBerry's menu will features a proprietary, all-natural yogurt developed by David and Camille Rutkauskas, the company said. In addition, the menu will include fresh, natural fruit smoothies. Fresh fruit toppings for the frozen yogurt include strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, kiwi, pineapple, and mango. Other toppings include Fruity Pebbles cereal, granola, toasted almonds, coconut, and chocolate chips.

"When Camille and I created FreshBerry our goal was to launch a modern and contemporary atmosphere that not only looked refreshing, but felt refreshing," said David Rutkauskas. "Camille's Sidewalk Café has built a loyal following through the country with some of the healthiest, most flavor-packed smoothies in the industry. We will expand upon that reputation with a smoothie bar concept that features a broader line of smoothies, additives and flavor bursts."

BBI intends to franchise both of the new concepts, the company said.
