Canadian c-stores to serve Seattle's Best

SEATTLE Starbucks-owned Seattle’s Best Coffee will soon be available in more Canadian convenience stores as a result of a new agreement announced this week, part of an ongoing plan to expand the premium coffee brand.

Mac’s Convenience Stores, a subsidiary of Toronto-based Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., has offered Seattle’s Best in some of its stores for 14 years. However, under the new agreement, the convenience store chain will expand its offering of Seattle’s Best from the current 290 stores across four provinces in Western Canada to 600 locations throughout Ontario over the next 24 months.

Last month, Burger King announced plans to bring Seattle’s Best Coffee into 7,250 domestic units by September, and the coffee is also served in roughly 9,000 Subway sandwich locations across the country, as well as about 15,000 other foodservice outlets.

Seattle’s Best also operates about 550 retail locations.

In Canada, Mac’s stores will feature several of Seattle’s Best’s brewed coffee blends along with a fully branded program that will include Tazo tea and Fontana flavoring syrups.
