Centerplate names Pascal CMO

Noncommercial operator Centerplate has promoted Bob Pascal to the post of chief marketing officer.

Pascal, who most recently served as senior vice president of marketing at Centerplate, will have expanded responsibilities that include consumer intelligence, engagement marketing, emerging technology and sponsorship activation.

In his previous position, Pascal oversaw new business development, facility design and culinary concepts as well as regular marketing duties.

“Bob is a world-class strategist with a wealth of experience in both consumer and business marketing,” said Des Hague, Centerplate’s president and chief executive.

“We are extremely fortunate to have someone with his knowledge and enthusiasm leading our company’s marketing strategy, and he will be able to make an even greater impact on the continued success of Centerplate in his new position.”

Centerplate, based in Stamford, Conn., is a subsidiary of Kohlberg & Co. LLC. It services some 81 sports, convention and entertainment venues, according to the Nation’s Restaurant News Top 100 census.
