Chicago Franchise Systems, Marble Restaurants pick POS provider

News

Chicago Franchise Systems of Tinley Park, Ill., parent of the franchised Nancy's Pizzeria and Al's Beef chains, and 20-unit Pizza Hut franchisee Marble Restaurants of Edmonton, Alberta, both have chosen to use SpeedLine POS and SpeedLink Enterprise, sources at Lynden, Wash.-based SpeedLine Solutions Inc. said.

"When I looked at POS systems, the first thing I wanted to see was the back office — how it works under the hood," said Chicago Franchise Systems president Dave Howey, who indicated that SpeedLine POS will be mandated for franchisees across the 41-unit Nancy's system, and 22-unit Al's Beef sandwich chain. "SpeedLine has all the bells and whistles, but what's most important to me is that I learned it quickly, and I can teach it quickly," Howey said.

Marble Restaurants president Shamez Jivraj said his company evaluated several POS systems before deciding to go with SpeedLine POS and SpeedLink Enterprise, which is used for multiunit POS systems administration and reporting. "Based on the more than 700 Pizza Hut stores in the U.S. already running SpeedLine systems, we knew we were dealing with a company that could handle the unique requirements of our menu and business," Jivraj said.
