CiCi’s plans to be trans-fat free by yearend

COPPELL Texas CiCi's Pizza, the 615-unit buffet chain based here, said it is working remove trans fats from its food by the end of the year.

The company said that most of its pizza toppings and salad dressings already measure zero trans fat, but it is focusing on removing that fat from its sauces, toppings and desserts. Trans fats have been linked to heart disease.

Craig Moore, president of CiCi’s, said: “This enhancement to our food's nutritional profile reflects our strong commitment to providing our guests with healthy choices that do not compromise the great taste and quality of our food.”
