DALLAS Corner Bakery Cafe said it has added three people to its executive team, including the appointment of Taco Bueno veteran Richard Peabody as chief financial officer.
As chief financial officer, Peabody will oversee company finances as well as its information-technology initiatives, according to the 100-unit Corner Bakery. He previously served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Taco Bueno Restaurants LP of Dallas. He also has worked with Romacorp Inc., parent of the Tony Roma's casual-dining chain, and Checkers Drive-In Restaurants Inc., parent of the Checkers and Rally’s Hamburgers brands.
Corner Bakery's other executive additions came from within its own ranks, with the promotions of Paul Hicks to vice president of operations services and Joe Webb to vice president of operations.
Hicks previously was senior director of operations and catering. Before joining Corner Bakery in 1998, he was a district manager with Einstein Bros. Bagels.
Webb was promoted from regional director. Before joining the company in 1998, he was a regional director of operations for Boston Market.
Corner Bakery is a Dallas-based subsidiary of Il Fornaio (America) Corp. of Corte Madera, Calif.
