Drive-thru timer tech decision by Arby's

News

ATLANTA Arby's Restaurant Group Inc., based here, has named HyperActive Technologies' QTimer drive-through measurement tool as a preferred timer system for the 3,719-unit, quick-service sandwich chain, and will use that technology exclusively in its 1,169 company-operated locations, the vendor said.

"We looked at a variety of solutions and concluded that HyperActive's QTimer will be an important component for drive-thru speed for Arby's," said Don Zimmerman, ARG's chief information officer. "The information we'll now have by store, area, district, region, and chain gives us an advantage as we work to better manage our drive-thru operations on behalf of our customers."

Representatives of Pittsburgh-based HyperActive said QTimer links in real time with point-of-sale systems, tying individual orders to recorded times for analysis of drive-thru operations at individual restaurants, and supports a hosted "enterprise reporting portal" that can aggregate information across multiple units and by user-definable groups. They said the system, with its user-definable "export" and "subscription" features, enables chains to configure and send reports and "feeds" in a variety of formats on a scheduled basis to anyone in the organization via email or other management communications vehicles.
