English, Bernstein craft airborne menus

ATLANTA Delta Air Lines has partnered with celebrity chef Todd English to offer meals for purchase as of Sept. 13 to travelers flying on the carrier in coach class.

Atlanta-based Delta also inked a deal with Michelle Bernstein, chef-proprietor of Michy’s in Miami and a former chef of Azul at the Florida city's Mandarin Oriental Hotel, to create a menu for the airline’s business and first-class passengers.

The English menu, which includes some of the Boston-based chef's signature dishes, would be offered on nonstop flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle. Prices will range from $2 to $10, according to Delta.

English’s Figs concept is featured in several high-traffic airports.
