FDA recalls canned beans on botulism fears

WASHINGTON The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning that some canned beans sold under various private labels to restaurants and on-site accounts may carry the risk of botulism and should be isolated from other food supplies. The warning extends to 26 brands and 63 products, the agency said. Included are green beans, garbanzo beans, Mexican-style chili beans and dark red kidney beans.
