Mayonnaise tops the chart by a wide margin

Given the dominance of chicken sandwiches in the marketplace, it might not be surprising that mayonnaise is the most frequently mentioned condiment on American restaurant menus, according to Technomic’s MenuMonitor of the top 500 chains. Of the 3,863 sandwiches on menus, mayonnaise is mentioned in 777 of the descriptions.
