HMSHost Corp. Reopens Kennebunk Travel Plazas with Updated Design

BETHESDA, MD. HMSHost Corp., the travel concessionaire based here, recently reopened the Kennebunk North and South Travel Plazas in Kennebunk, Maine, which had been closed for renovations since last September. —

The travel plazas now offer a Starbucks, a Burger King, a Popeyes Chicken and a Tropicool Smoothies kiosk. Both locations also feature Z Market convenience stores. —

According to Michael Jones, vice president of business development for HMSHost Corp., the renovated travel plazas feature a state-of-the-art design with brighter lighting, atrium seating, an outdoor patio, multiple entrances and exits, and increased parking. —

HMSHost Corp. is a subsidiary of Milan, Italy-based contract feeder Autogrill S.p.A., which last year reported food and beverage sales of approximately $4 billion. With annual sales of more than $2 billion, HMSHost Corp. operates in more than 100 motorway travel plazas and 70 airports worldwide. —
