Jack in the Box to roll in-store entertainment programming

SAN DIEGO Jack in the Box said it is entering into a partnership with a specialized media company to feature in-restaurant entertainment in its 2,000 units.

Franchisor Jack in the Box Inc. said a handful of restaurants have already installed high-definition TVs to show news and entertainment features. The system will be included in new stores and retrofitted into older ones as they are re-imaged during the next four to five years, headquarters indicated.

The content, the company said, is provided by RippleTV, which compiles it from ESPN, E! Entertainment, Yahoo, CBS and other sources.

Jack in the Box also operates and franchises the more than 300-unit Qdoba Mexican Grill chain.
