KFC promotes new boneless wings with teriyaki mural of Col. Sanders

LOUISVILLE Ky. KFC is promoting the launch of new Teriyaki Boneless Wings with a video showing an artist using karate techniques and teriyaki sauce to paint a mural of chain founder Col. Harland Sanders.

The video, available on www.youtube.com/justanotherphil, shows experiential artist Phil Hansen slathering his hands and feet with paint made from teriyaki sauce. He then chops, kicks and head-butts a wall-sized canvas to paint Sanders’ image, which “tastes as good as it looks,” according to KFC.

The 14,000-unit chain, a division of Yum! Brands Inc., plans to auction the mural on eBay and donate the proceeds to Colonel’s Scholars, a charity that awards college scholarships.

The Teriyaki Boneless Wings combo meal includes six wings, potato wedges and a drink and is priced at $3.99.
