WINSTON-SALEM N.C. Krispy Kreme said Monday it has introduced a new line of berry-flavored doughnuts for the summer.
The new Fresh & Fruity doughnut line features three flavors, including Strawberry Iced, an original glazed doughnut with strawberry icing; Blueberry Iced, an original glazed doughnut with blueberry icing, and Strawberries and Kreme, a doughnut with strawberries and cream filling, topped with white icing and shortcake crunch.
The doughnuts are available at participating stores through Aug. 16. Individual doughnuts cost 99 cents,or a dozen are priced at $6.99, excluding taxes.
The 520-unit quick-service chain also is emphasizing during the warm weather months its line of cool drinks, including flavored iced coffees, available in original, vanilla, hazelnut or chocolate; iced tea; and Krispy Kreme Chillers, a line of frozen beverages available in eight flavors.
