The latest chefs on the move

A look at recent job changes from chefs across the country:

David Noto is executive chef of the Omni Bedford Springs Resort & Spa in Bedford Springs, Pa., following seven years as executive chef of the Hilton Dallas Lincoln Center.

Paris native Harutaka Kishi is the new executive chef at French-Japanese restaurant Chaya Brasserie Beverly Hills, in Beverly Hills, Calif. Most recently he was head chef at The London in West Hollywood, Calif.

Nuno Alves is the new chef de cuisine at Tavolo in Boston, working with chef-owner Chris Douglas.  Alves replaces Max Thompson, who left Tavolo after three years to travel. Previously, Alves had worked for nearly nine years as sous chef of Rialto in Cambridge, Mass.

E.J. Hodgkinson has been promoted to chef de cuisine from sous chef of Woodfire Grill in Atlanta.

“It has been an extremely busy year for us at Woodfire Grill, and with all the traveling I’ve had to do, E.J. has been the one in the kitchen each and every night upholding the restaurant’s reputation for putting out seasonally-influenced, ingredient-focused cuisine and offering menus that change daily,” executive chef and co-owner Kevin Gillespie said in announcing the promotion.
