Maggiano’s rolls out happy hour specials

Maggiano's Little Italy has launched a “premium happy hour” joining other casual-dining chains working to increase traffic in that shoulder period.

The new beverage and food menu is available from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and features items priced between $3 and $6 each. A division of Dallas-based Brinker International, Maggiano’s joins concepts as varied as P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Mimi’s Café and sibling brand Chili’s Grill & Bar in putting renewed emphasis on the happy-hour daypart.

The happy-hour items are:

• Draft beers for $3
• Signature flatbreads such as Margherita, Pepperoni and Arugula, Italian Sausage, and Chicken and Roasted Pepper for $4
• Wines by the glass for $5
• New signature classic cocktails such as cosmopolitans, martinis, margaritas and mojitos made with fresh juices and premium spirits for $6

“With new energy and revitalization behind our beverage menu, we're giving our guests another reason to join us and celebrate the company of friends and family with our happy hour,” Steve Provost, president of Maggiano's Little Italy, said in a statement.

The new and extended beverage menu offers more than 40 wines by the glass. It also has added both red and white sangria in pitchers. Provost said sangria is Maggiano’s No. 1 cocktail.

Maggiano's has 44 locations in the United States and one in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
