URBANDALE Iowa Maid-Rite Corp., the 70-unit loose-meat sandwich chain based, said Monday that it had granted rights to develop as many as 268 Maid-Rite Sandwich Shoppes in Texas to Houston-based Keystone Investments. Ron Abercrombie, president of Keystone, said his company’s first unit is expected to open in Houston in June.Maid-Rite currently has franchised units in Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin.
