New York and Bahamas Culinary Schools Create Exchange Program

NEW ROCHELLE N.Y. —The Monroe College School of Hospitality Management and the Culinary Arts recently started an exchange program with the College of the Bahamas for faculty and students. To kick off the program, Monroe professor and chef Tracy Zimmerman traded places with COB professor and chef Christina Moseley for the spring semester.

The program allows COB students who earn an associate’s degree to pursue a bachelor’s degree at Monroe. Several COB students have enrolled to study in Monroe’s Culinary Arts Center next fall. —The Monroe College School of Hospitality Management and the Culinary Arts recently started an exchange program with the College of the Bahamas for faculty and students. To kick off the program, Monroe professor and chef Tracy Zimmerman traded places with COB professor and chef Christina Moseley for the spring semester.

Monroe professor and chef Wilson Njenga, who was a graduate of the Bahamian college, initiated the relationship between the two colleges. Njenga has several Monroe hospitality and culinary students working at various positions at his recently opened Caribbean Island Restaurant on City Island in the Bronx in New York City. —The Monroe College School of Hospitality Management and the Culinary Arts recently started an exchange program with the College of the Bahamas for faculty and students.
