The Palm to launch kids' menu with help from 'Little Miss Sunshine'

WASHINGTON The Palm steakhouse chain has enlisted Abigail Breslin, the young star of the hit movie “Little Miss Sunshine” and co-star of the upcoming “No Reservations,” to promote the concept's first children’s menu.

Set for a July 24 introduction, The Palm Summer Kids Menu features complete meals for children ages 14 and under.  The chain said the meals were selected by Breslin in concert with corporate executive chef Tony Tammero. Included are such entrées as grilled filet mignon medallions, baked macaroni and cheese and a fish of the day. Each is priced at $19.95.

Also included are such side dishes as sweet potato fries and steamed asparagus, and such desserts as the Palm Summer Apple Cobbler à la mode and the Palm Summer Brownie Cheesecake Sundae.  The menu will also feature a child-friendly version of The Palm Strawberry Mint Lemonade Cocktail.

The Palm, based here, currently has more than 25 restaurants in 24 cities across the United States, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
