Potbelly tech exec Duplantis takes supplier role

BOSTON Restaurant chain veteran Tamy Duplantis, most recently vice president of information technology for Potbelly Sandwich Works of Chicago, has joined supplier CrunchTime! Information Systems Inc., based here, as vice president of business development.

Before joining Potbelly, Duplantis was vice president of application development at distributor U.S. Food Service of Rosemont, Ill., and previously served as vice president of information technology for Applebee’s International Inc. of Overland Park, Kan., whose assets were acquired by DineEquity Inc. in 2007 and earlier led software development efforts for T.G.I. Friday’s of Carrollton, Texas. She has a master of business administration from Nova University of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and a bachelor of data processing and analysis from the University of Texas in Austin.

“We are really pleased to have Tamy on board at such a pivotal point in our company’s growth,” said Bill Bellissimo, president of CrunchTime!, a provider of Web-based back-office and enterprise applications and services. Duplantis, he said, is a “dynamic leader” who “adds a depth of wisdom, experience and industry knowledge that will have a major impact on our company.”
