DENVER Quiznos appointed industry veteran Andrew G. Skehan to manage international growth strategies as president of Europe, the Middle East and Africa for the more than 5,000-unit sub sandwich chain, based here.
Skehan, who will report directly to Quiznos' chief executive and president Greg Brenneman, starts the job April 23rd.
Working out of Quiznos' regional headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, Skehan will be responsible for developing and implementing a growth plan for Quiznos businesses abroad, and for developing local teams to build regional business and brand development, including supply chain management, logistics, infrastructure, and franchise owner recruitment.
Skehan joins Quiznos after eight years at Churchill Downs Inc. where he last served as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Prior to that, he served as vice president and regional director of marketing and new markets for Nabisco EMEA where he was based in Barcelona, Spain.
Earlier in his career Skehan and held a series of operational positions with PepsiCo Restaurants International, the former parent of Pizza Hut and KFC's. Skehan developed Pizza Hut and KFC's international businesses in the Czech and Slovak Republics.
