R&D chefs on the move

Two casual-dining companies have made changes to their research and development teams.

Cammie Spillyards, the former director of food and beverage innovation at Chili’s, has been named to the new position of vice president of research and development innovation at Tampa, Fla.-based OSI Restaurant Partners. She will oversee R&D across all of OSI's brands, including Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill and Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar.

Bob Davis, corporate executive chef of Max & Erma’s, has also been put in charge of culinary development at the chain’s sister concept, Damon’s Grill. Both chains are based in Columbus, Ohio.
