Saladworks to open in Singapore

Fast-casual operator Saladworks is making its inaugural push into the overseas marketplace with a franchise agreement to bring its brand to Singapore. The 100-unit fresh salad chain has signed a deal with Amos Lee of Singapore calling for the opening of 15 locations there — starting with one unit next year and two more in 2013. “We feel that we’re in a solid position for international growth,” John Scardapane, chairman and chief executive of Saladworks, said. ...
