Subway expands delivery service to Boston

MILFORD Conn. Doctor’s Associates Inc., parent of the Subway chain, and Universal Delivery Solutions said Tuesday they are again teaming up to provide delivery service in the greater Boston area.

The service uses an already established call center function with the toll-free telephone number 888-SUB-TO-GO.

Under the agreement, UDS, which specializes in providing delivery platform operations to the foodservice industry, would spearhead the Massachusetts delivery system launch. Subway teamed up with UDS earlier this year to begin a delivery test in New York.

ASubway spokesman said the chain is continuing to look at the delivery program’s performance in order to determine whether it will be expanded to other markets.

Subway has more than 29,000 locations in 86 countries.
