Togo’s names Scott marketing chief

SAN JOSE Calif. Togo’s Eateries Inc., a 248-unit sandwich chain, has named Renae Scott vice president of branding and marketing.

A20-year marketing veteran, Scott most recently was chief marketing officer for Concord, Calif.-based Round Table Franchise Corp., parent of the 500-unit namesake pizza chain. Prior to that, she was vice president of media and field marketing for CKE of Carpinteria, Calif., parent of the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s chains, which comprise 3,110 units worldwide.

“We know that through her expertise, Renae will help Togo’s brand as a whole and provide insight into our marketing and branding areas, allowing us to move to a new level of growth,” said Tony Gioia, Togo’s chairman and chief executive.

San Jose-based Togo’s Eateries is a subsidiary of Togo’s Holdings LLC, which is controlled by private-equity firm Mainsail Partners of San Francisco. Mainsail acquired the sandwich operation from Dunkin’ Brands Inc. in late 2007.
