Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc. has installed about 12,000 energy-efficient lights from GE Consumer & Industrial. Also this week: IBM, EMN8, J.M. Smucker Co., Coca-Cola Co., Temple-Inland, Adina For Life, Phillips Food Inc., and D’Artagnan.

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. -- Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc., based here, replaced some 12,000 standard incandescent and halogen lights in more than 150 stores with more efficient 7-watt light-emitting diode PAR 20 flood and spot lights from Cleveland-based GE Consumer & Industrial. GE said the installation, which took place in half of Red Robin's corporate restaurants, marks the largest application of GE's 7-watt LED PAR lamb in a restaurant setting.

ARMONK, N.Y. -- IBM, the giant technology firm based here, said it has formed a partnership with EMN8, the San Diego-based designer of self-service platforms for the foodservice industry, to manufacture, market and support EMN8's self-service order and pay kiosk products. EMN8's products are developed chiefly for use in quick-service and fast-casual restaurants, where IBM already has a presence. EMN8 will move production of its OrderM8 4000 kiosk hardware platform to IBM.

ORRVILLE, Ohio -- The American Culinary Federation, the professional chefs' organization based in Orlando, Fla., has given its ACF Seal of Approval to J.M. Smucker Co.'s Crisco Professional, Jif, Smucker's JJP, Smucker's PlateScapers and Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk lines. The seal is presented to products that meet the ACF's criteria set of application, physical properties, performance and packaging.

DALLAS -- Nearly 200 employees of Atlanta-based Coca-Cola Co. volunteered to participate in the North Texas Food Bank's teambuilding program called Serving U on Aug. 12. Coke employees helped sort and pack food for distribution to the needy in 13 North Texas counties. Coca-Cola also donated juice boxes for the Food 4 Kids program, which provides weekend snacks to hungry children.

TOLEDO, Ohio -- Marco's Pizza, the 190-plus-unit pizza company based here, presented Temple-Inland with its Vendor of the Year award. Temple-Inland, which has its headquarters in Austin, Texas, manufactures corrugated packaging and building products, and helped the Marco's develop its new line of pizza boxes, which were introduced earlier this year.

EMERYVILLE, Calif. -- Jamba Juice Inc. will be offering Adina For Life Inc.'s line of Adina Natural Highs and Adina Holistics at participating locations. Adina, which is based in San Francisco, said Jamba Juice would offer two varieties of each line -- Blackberry Hibiscus and Honey Lemon Aloe from the Adian Holistics line; and Mocha Madness and Double XX from the Adina Natural Highs line.

BALTIMORE -- Phillips Food Inc., debuted its newly designed food industry website, www.phillipsfoodservice.com. The site offers detailed product information, nutritional information, recipes and ingredients, and menu trends. It features easy navigation for culinary professionals looking for information.

NEW YORK -- Andy Wertheim has been promoted to president of D'Artagnan, the purveyor of humanely raised, free-range meats, according to owner and chief executive Ariane Daguin. Wertheim, who most recently held the post of chief operating officer, has helped the company establish a presence in the retail and e-commerce sectors, while increasing sales in the hotel, restaurant and institutional sectors.
