Del Frisco's 1Q profit rises 26.7%

Company calls Del Frisco’s Grille its “dominant expansion vehicle”

Del Frisco's Restaurant Group Inc. reported Tuesday a 26.7-percent increase in profit for the March 25-ended first quarter.

Southlake, Texas-based Del Frisco’s, which operates 40 restaurants, said Del Frisco’s Grille remains its “dominant expansion vehicle.” The company now has 11 Grilles, six of which opened last year, and plans to open five more this year.

Del Frisco’s also owns the Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House and Sullivan's Steakhouse brands.
 

1Q NET INCOME

Result: $4.5 million, or 19 cents per share
% Increase: 26.7% (from $3.6 million, or 15 cents per share)

1Q REVENUE

Result: $66.6 million
% Increase: 11.4% (from $59.8 million)

1Q SAME-STORE SALES

% Increase systemwide: 0.8%


% Increase at Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House: 5.1%


% Decrease at Sullivan's Steakhouse: 2.1%
