CPK ups 2nd-Q outlook on improved sales

LOS ANGELES California Pizza Kitchen Inc. on Wednesday raised its guidance for second quarter earnings as it reported better-than-expected preliminary results for the period. CPK said it now expects to earn 25 cents to 26 cents per share for the second quarter ended June 29. That compares with a previous earnings projection of 16 cents to 17 cents a share.
