Legal officer resigns at Ruth’s Hospitality

HEATHROW Fla. Ruth’s Hospitality Group Inc., parent to the Ruth’s Chris Steak House chain, said Thomas E. O’Keefe had resigned as executive vice president and chief legal and compliance officer.

The company said O’Keefe, who had been with the company since March 2005, was returning full time to his family in New Orleans, where the company had been based before Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The company now has its headquarters in Heathrow, Fla.

Michael O’Donnell, president and chief executive of Ruth’s Hospitality, said O’Keefe’s responsibilities would be “transitioned to other internal resources.”

Ruth’s Hospitality Group has more than 150 company- and franchised-owned locations and also includes the Mitchell’s Fish Market, Mitchell’s Steakhouse and Cameron’s Steakhouse concepts.
