NRN and HVS team up for salary study

NEW YORK Nation’s Restaurant News, in partnership with HVS Executive Search, will release a ground-breaking executive compensation study for the chain restaurant industry this November.

Tapping into the expertise of human resources professionals who serve on the study’s advisory board, as well as feedback from numerous restaurant companies, the compensation study will provide needed benchmarking and best-practice analysis related to industry compensation.

“An executive compensation survey geared towards the chain restaurant industry adds an important, exclusive comparative benchmarking source for our readers,” said Ellen Koteff, editor of Nation’s Restaurant News, “and the timing of this initiative is critical as our industry is going through very intense times.”

David Mansbach, co-president of HVS Executive Search and an advisory board member for the study, noted, “With compensation undergoing intense scrutiny, it has become important for companies today to have independent, third-party resources available to make the right decisions, particularly as they relate to determining effective compensation strategies.

“Moreover, today’s competitive landscape, from a human capital and labor pool perspective, has resulted in an increased desire to understand best practices and assess standing in the restaurant business,” he continued. “The partnership with Nation’s Restaurant News and the creation of our distinguished advisory board comprised of senior leaders within the chain restaurant industry will allow us to create a very special report.”

The survey’s findings will be covered exclusively in a special report appearing in the Nov. 16 issue of Nation’s Restaurant News. The full report also will be available for purchase.
