Pacuigo Gelato names Berkman president, franchising

DALLAS Paciugo Gelato Caffè, a 40-unit family-owned chain, has named Steve Berkman to the newly created position of president of franchising.

Prior to joining Paciugo, Berkman spent more than nineyears with Palm Beach Tan, most recently serving as vice president of franchising. In his new role at Paciugo, Berkman will oversee franchising development, sales, administration, marketing, information technology, operations support and training.

“Steve comes with a tremendous amount of knowledge and expertise in the franchising industry and we look forward to offering our franchisees world-class support under his guidance,” said Ugo Ginatta, founder of Paciugo.

Berkman has also worked with Blockbuster and CiCi’s Pizza’s franchising divisions.

Paciugo was founded in Dallas in 2000 and now has stores in the United States and Mexico.
