The Palm’s parent to unveil new concept

WASHINGTON Palm Management Group, the owner and operator of 28 luxury steakhouses around the country, plans to debut a more casual concept called Palm Bar and Grill in an as-yet undisclosed airport location by the middle of next year.

Bruce Bozzi Jr., executive vice president of the company, said the Palm's secondary concept would feature lighter fare, quicker service and a lower price point than its upscale sibling, The Palm. It also would feature music and "a bar experience," Bozzi said.

At the same time, Palm chairman, CEO and co-owner Wally Ganzi Jr. said the privately owned company has been crafting international expansion plans and is scouting locations across Europe. He said the company plans to open its first international outlet in the Mayfair section of London next year. Other target cities include Paris; Madrid, Spain; and Milan, Italy.

Ganzi also said the company is planning to license The Palm steakhouse concept in Asian markets.
