Uno vet named CFO of Ruth's Chris

HEATHROW Fla. Ruth's Chris Steak House Inc. has hired Uno Restaurant Holdings Corp. veteran Robert M. Vincent as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Vincent, who spent about 16 years with Uno, will again be working under Craig S. Miller, Ruth’s Chris’ chairman, president and chief executive officer, who served as president and CEO of Uno for 17 years.

Vincent begins his new post in mid-March and is replacing Thomas J. Pennison Jr.

Vincent joined Uno in 1992 and served in several financial leadership capacities before being named CFO and treasurer in 2000. During his tenure there, the Boston-based chain grew from approximately 70 restaurants to more than 200 Uno Chicago Grill restaurants.

Prior to Uno, Vincent held finance leadership roles at Omega Corp., Boston Restaurant Associates and Ogden Corp.

Miller said in a statement that Vincent’s experience ideally suited him to lead the finances of Ruth's Chris as it “continues its global expansion.”

Outgoing CFO Pennison announced his departure in December. At the time, he said he planned to return to Louisiana, where Ruth's Chris was based before Hurricane Katrina. The company has since relocated to Heathrow, Fla. The company said Pennison would continue to consult with the company through the transition.

Ruth's Chris operates or franchises 118 namesake steakhouses.
