Cracker Barrel names Jill Golder CFO

Former Ruby Tuesday executive to replace Lawrence Hyatt

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. on Tuesday named Jill Golder chief financial officer.

Golder was formerly CFO of Ruby Tuesday Inc. She will join Lebanon, Tenn.-based Cracker Barrel on April 25, and will assume the CFO role on June 6, after the departure of retiring CFO Lawrence Hyatt.

“We are pleased to have someone with Jill’s extensive experience joining Cracker Barrel as our new CFO,” Cracker Barrel CEO Sandra Cochran said in a statement. “Her financial experience with Darden Restaurants and Ruby Tuesday will be of great value as we look forward to building on Cracker Barrel’s recent success and positioning the company for continued profitable growth.”

Golder has nearly 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry. Before becoming CFO at Ruby Tuesday, she spent 23 years at Orlando, Fla.-based Darden Restaurants Inc. in various positions. She has also worked with Domino’s Pizza and Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants.

Hyatt was Cracker Barrel’s CFO since 2011, and announced his retirement last year.

Cracker Barrel operates 635 locations in 42 states. The company’s same-store sales rose 0.6 percent in the second quarter ended Jan. 29.
