Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. reported on Thursday a 7.6-percent increase in net income for the June 30-ended second quarter. Strong traffic at the Denver-based fast-casual chain helped boost results despite higher food costs and a non-recurring tax adjustment.

NET INCOME

Result: $87.9 million, $2.82 per share
% Increase: 7.6% (from $81.7 million, or $2.56 per share)

REVENUE

Result: $816.8 million
% Increase: 18.2% (from $690.9 million)

SAME-STORE SALES

% Increase: 5.5%
