Bankruptcy judge approves Quiznos restructuring plan (The Wall Street Journal)
A bankruptcy judge approved Quiznos' reorganization plan Monday, with no parties objecting. The plan will cut Quiznos' debt by about two-thirds, to $400 million.

McDonald’s tests Horchata McCafé Frappé (press release)
McDonald’s restaurants in Southern California have begun selling a new flavor of McCafé Frappés: Horchata. The new item combines the flavors of vanilla, cinnamon and coffee, and is topped with whipped cream and caramel. For a limited time, a “McCafe Social Hour” promotion will offer a buy-one-get-one deal for McCafé Frappés from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Southern California region has more than 600 company-owned and franchised McDonald’s restaurants.

Andrew Monroe considers himself lucky. At 30, he is a married father of two with a well-paying job. A decade ago, he was in prison on a drug conviction. Monroe says he owes much of his transformation to McDonald’s and Holland, Mich., franchise owner Tony Castillo, whom he began working for seven years ago.
