Quaker Steak & Lube names Fred Dreibholz CFO

Quaker Steak & Lube has named Fred Dreibholz chief financial officer. The appointment is effective Nov. 1.

The casual-dining chain, which specializes in chicken wings, said Dreibholz is a 20-year veteran of the restaurant industry, and most recently worked with Champps Entertainment and FLIK International.

The company said that Dreibholz also has worked with several private equity firms, including Sun Capital, Lincolnshire Management, Castanea Partners and Enhanced Equity Partners.

Dreibholz is a certified public accountant and earned an MBA in finance and accounting from Marquette University. He has an undergraduate degree from Cornell University.

“Fred has a wealth of experience with a long, proven track record of success, and we’re excited to have him on board,” said John Longstreet, president and chief executive of the 50-plus unit Quaker Steak & Lube. “Adding a talent like Fred to our team is one more part of our strategic plan and dedication to continue to expand Lube Nation and grow the brand in markets across the country.”

The motorsports-themed chain, which has locations in 15 states and Canada, said it is on target to open 13 restaurants and has inked new development agreements for six new markets.

The chain recently made its debut in the Texas market with the opening of a company store in Carrollton and a franchised location in Waco.
