BEIJING —China remains the world’s largest producer for beer, for the fourth consecutive year, according to figures released by the China Non-staple Food Circulation Association, or the CNFCA.

Chinese breweries produced 35.15 million kiloliters of beer in 2006, up 14.7 percent from the previous year and the greatest output of any country in the world for the fourth year running, according to a report in the English language edition of The People’s Daily Online here. —China remains the world’s largest producer for beer, for the fourth consecutive year, according to figures released by the China Non-staple Food Circulation Association, or the CNFCA.

The report also quotes He Jihong, president of the CNFCA, as saying that industry should remain in double-digit growth for at least the next two years. He also declared that the “huge market potential” of China is drawing more international brewers to China, which he expects to result in a “reshuffle” of the industry in the coming years. —China remains the world’s largest producer for beer, for the fourth consecutive year, according to figures released by the China Non-staple Food Circulation Association, or the CNFCA.
