Logan’s Roadhouse seeks new CFO

Amy Bertauski to leave casual-dining operator

Logan’s Roadhouse Inc. longtime chief financial officer Amy Bertauski is leaving, effective Feb. 27, and it is launching a nationwide search for a successor, the company said Wednesday.

Bertauski has served as CFO since 2006, when Logan’s was spun off from the parent of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. She joined the brand in 2000 as director of accounting.

The 261-unit Nashville, Tenn.-based casual-dining operator said Nicole Williams, vice president of finance, would take over the CFO duties while it searches for Bertauski’s successor.

“I am ready to move into a new chapter in my life that involves spending more time with my family. … I plan to remain an investor in the company and will continue to cheer for the ongoing success of Logan’s Roadhouse,” Bertauski said in a statement.

Sam Borgese, who was named Logan’s Roadhouse president and CEO in October, added that “the insights from her 15-year experience with the brand, her professional skills and her support of the strategy for this journey have been crucial to the accelerated pace of improvement in all areas of the business.”

In a delayed annual report in November, Logan’s Roadhouse said same-store sales fell 4 percent in its Aug. 3-ended 2014 fiscal year.

The company reported a net loss of $62.8 million in the fiscal year, including nearly $37 million in impairment charges, plus $42.6 million in interest expense. Revenue for the year fell 1.3 percent, to $640.9 million.

Logan’s Roadhouse has 235 company-operated and 26 franchised restaurants in 23 states.
