Patina Restaurant Group named Julian Griffiths to the new position of chief operating officer on Tuesday.
He will relocate to Buffalo, N.Y., to be near Patina’s parent, Delaware North Companies, within the year. Operations teams in New York, Los Angeles and Orlando, Fla., will report to him.
Most recently, Griffiths was vice president of food and beverage at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Before that, he was vice president of food and beverage at The Mirage in Las Vegas, executive director for food and beverage at Wynn resorts in Las Vegas, director of food and beverage at the New York Palace Hotel, and assistant director of food and beverage at the Waldorf-Astoria, also in New York.
“Julian comes with significant accomplishments and a strategic focus,” Patina CEO Nick Valenti said in a statement. His hands-on approach has resulting in achieving financial goals while surpassing guest expectations, a winning combination.”
Patina is a bicoastal foodservice company based in New York City and Los Angeles, operating restaurants at such New York landmarks as the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center and Grand Central Terminal. Los Angeles properties include Patina Restaurant in Walt Disney Concert Hall, Catal and Tortilla Jo’s. It also provides catering and foodservice in museums and cultural centers throughout California and is opening several restaurants in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
