Bon Appétit Management Company’s new restaurant concept within Starbucks’ headquarters in Seattle, called Sodo Kitchen, is open to the public.
Sodo features six hot food stations.
Guests order at the various stations, collect their food and pay at the cashier.
The 200-seat dining room is broken up into smaller spaces to evoke the more cozy atmosphere of a café, and to avoid the feeling of being in a large corporate cafeteria.
Sodo’s “giant” salad bar features unique and locally grown, seasonal produce when available as well as composed salads.
The rotisserie station features slow roasted meats such as chicken or pork loin, even some seafood, carved to order. Featured dishes vary with the seasons and are prepared from scratch daily.
Like other Bon Appétit venues, Sodo will focus on the use of sustainable ingredients such as local meats and produce when possible.
