Local villagers constructed the first school structure funded by Pizza Ranch, Ethiopia Reads and the Tesfa Foundation.
School started last week in the first building funded by Pizza Ranch's program for 240 students in Ethiopia's Kembata-Tembaro region.
A warehouse is filled with Pizza Ranch's coffee sourced from Ethiopia. The chain is projecting that it will serve two million cups of coffee this year.
For every pound of coffee Pizza Ranch brews this year — the chain projects to serve as many as two million cups — it will donate 50 cents to Ethiopia Reads.
