ATLANTA Chick-fil-A reported an 8.6-percent jump in 2009 systemwide sales on the strength of 83 new restaurants and positive same-store sales. The 1,480-unit chain posted sales of $3.2 billion in 2009, the first time it surpassed the $3 billion mark, Chick-fil-A said Tuesday.
