Company adds 32 new restaurants during the quarter
Panera Bread Co. reported on Tuesday a 17.1-percent increase in profit for the Sept. 24-ended third quarter. The St. Louis-based fast-casual chain added 17 new company-owned bakery-cafés and 15 franchise-operated units during the quarter, bringing the total to 1,736 systemwide.
Result: $42.8 million, or $1.48 per share % Increase: 17.1% (from $36.5 million, or $1.24 per share)
Result: $572.4 million % Increase: 8.2% (from $529.3 million)
