A recent two-day sweep of 44 restaurants in California’s Riverside and San Bernardino counties found 38 violations of state labor laws, the state labor commissioner’s office announced Wednesday afternoon. The violators were fined a total of $207,000 for infractions ranging from a failure to provide workers’ compensation insurance to allowing minors to work without the proper permits.
