McDonald’s Corp. overcame severe weather in the United States and Europe to close out the fourth quarter and the fiscal year with gains in traffic, sales and earnings, the company said Monday. For the Dec. 31-ended fourth quarter, McDonald’s net income rose 2.1 percent to $1.24 billion, or $1.16 per share, compared with $1.22 billion, or $1.11 per share, a year earlier.
